Ceremonial torques are an integral element of the women's festive attire. They usually are imposing, however not as heavy as they look, as they are hollow. They are often engraved with traditional patterns from Miao culture : dragons and phoenixes, bestiary from Chinese zodiac, floral inspirations. They are worn during major events.

Buddha statues have been found in flea markets in China, during the course of our trips.
